Caramel Apples

This caramel apple came from a trio of product reps that I am quite close with. After the dinner I made yesterday, a little relaxation while working on the thesis proposal (in the background) was quite deserved. Oh, and desperate housewives is on, too.

Its a delightful delicacy from the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, and never fail to be my favorite halloween treat every year.

Last night, some friends came by for dinner, as it was my turn to cook for everyone. I made chicken pot pie (which was fabulous by the way, highly recommend) along with mashed potatoes, green beans, and cucumber tomato salad served up in the pumpkin bowls that I bought at Target. I also made cornbread in the shape of pumpkins, from the miniature pumpkin pan from Williams Sonoma. For dessert, individual key lime pies tucked into sugar cookie crusts topped off with whipped cream as well as my friends easy cheesecake recipe used in little metal dessert bowls with graham cracker crust and cherries on top. We had alot of fun last night sipping on peach bellinis and wine while watching the Ali G show. There was a marathon on HBO this weekend in celebration of the new Borat Movie. Since its not showing around here, I guess we will have to wait to see if it is released nearby or if we will just have to get it on DVD....

Im a bit dissapointed about Desperate Housewives tonight, poor Lynette - and Nora. I mean, who saw that coming? Weve been made to think Nora to be the bad guy here, and maybe she is, but now she has been kicked off the show... I was hoping for more drama, but it just seems to get better and better after each episode. I actually cried tonight - they cant get rid of Lynette too... she is my favorite.
