Remembering the Christmas Past

I took a sick day today from work, not really feeling well at all. My sinuses are really driving me crazy. I was reading some information about how to post pictures to blogger, and have done it previously, but Im working out some kinks in figuring out how to post with a picture in the posting instead of just a photo with an underlying caption. I love this picture - around christmas time Tula would go run and dive right into the center of the christmas tree. She loves attention and loves having her photo taken. She is 8 months old now, so this was her first christmas and she loved it - all of the shiny decorations and tree ornaments to attack. I put the ones that I really love at the top of the tree, and left her some jingle bells at the bottom of it. She would find ways to remove them for play toys, and I found many bells hidden around the house when I was cleaning up from christmas and putting the tree away.

Tula is taking a cat nap now, Ive pretty much slept all day long, but thought I would make myself useful if only for a few minutes. I always enjoy learning something new.

Cats, especially when they are kittens, have always been a source of great amusement to me. Their antics are priceless.

My daughter has a young cat as well--about 2 years old now--who also loves the Christmas tree and its ornaments.

Their tree sat on a brick floor, so when she and her husband were in the living room, they could hear little ornaments go "tink" and then roll away. (They switched to putting the non-breakable ornaments at the bottom of the tree this year.)

Hi Dorothy:
Thanks for sharing the kitten in the tree story. I never had pets growing up, and never knew quite what I was missing out on!

I just loved watching her jump right into the tree - face first and fearless!
