Final Twenty Four

In 24 hours, I will officially be on Vacation. Not for a day or two, an entire week and a half of real unmodified, unquestionable vacation. School is out as of last Friday, and as I said I was planning, I did drink heavily. I also attended the office Christmas party, which was a casino night and sooo much better than expected. We won over $70,000 (in false money, of course.) The food was fabulous (Im sure the few pounds which have recently taken up residency on my ass have now turned to many.) That is ok though, I will be starting my official be healthy on the road to 30 tour starting in January. Eight months to transform and evict the extra pounds on my ass.

Which brings me to new year resolutions... I typically shun them and feel they are a waste of time, energy and personal resources, however this year I may take one up to see how I do. I am somewhat in awe now that Christmas is actually coming up this weekend. I still have shopping to do! I was sooo consumed in getting the Thesis completed that I forgot to shop. WTF.

I made sugar cookies this weekend with my good friend Ms. Marvelous. She made some heavenly cranberry/white chocolate cookies, some twisted pink and white cookies shaped like candy canes and rolled in crushed peppermint. Fabulous. Also some no bake cookies among others. We decorated sugar cookies until midnight. holy cow. I had a busy weekend, and so far a busy week.

I went shopping last night for two families that our office sponsored for the holidays. We had about $1000 to spend, so we went to the store and found clothes, toys, and other household items. There is currently a wrapping party going on upstairs. I was out late last night, I didnt get home until about 10:30 and I was completely wiped out. I hate it now that Im getting old. I feel it. I would have only about 5 years ago been able to stay up all night (in which I did) and then some. Now its very depressing to know that I cant do that anymore and that I actually have to go to bed on time... geez.

Anyhow, hope all of you all out there have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! - and let me know what your new year resolutions are!
