Out of this World

Cake of the week: Vanilla with a solar system theme. I was corrected at dinner this evening, where my friend insisted that Mercury wasn't really red. We came to an agreement on the understanding that the surface closest to the sun is hotter than the surface facing away... Pluto however, being the smallest is (and if I am thinking correctly, isn't even labeled as a planet anymore...) a silver dragee in the far corner. My interpretation of the dusty ring that surrounds the planet Saturn is of sugar and dragees as well. I had a good time mixing colors in the frosting in order to make this happen as well.
